Well, this is reallyyyy open to speculation, since is probably one of the aces on the sleeve of the author, keeping the truth probably until the end of the manga...what will happen to Kurumi?

Let's review some facts:

• She was bitten, and began to suffer the fever and turn into a zombie. She even got, after recieving the vaccine, part of her face, neck and right hand disfigured to a certain phase in which all the infected turn and then rot into zombies...fortunatelly and for the sake of not ruining Kurumi's look (most probably) the author made actually the vaccine "miraculous" revert also this...so, great, but...

• Since that she won some...superpowers? She is basically immune to coldness...

• Her body temparature is very low, Miki was the one to first really noticing this

• She barely sweat (ok, I can swear i saw her sweating when she was followed by the rival gang, but no mangaka is perfect xD)

• Most important one: she is unnoticed by the zombies...this is not a 100% perfect camouflage/stealth tho...if she either shout to them, or makes anything they can be aware she is still human and alive, they will pursue her (which leads also to the question if she is already immune or if bitten again, she needs another vaccine shoot)

The popular opinion is, she is turning into a zombie, but there is an importart, beside the story but still very influencing fact: Kurumi's popularity on the manga polls. She is #1 by far. And believe me, if I am Norimitsu, I would never let the popular girl die...this leads to heavy backslash from the community...

Also, the final question arises...is she really cured? Is she actually in a "incubation" phase? (halted or slowly progressing) Or is she now a new species, half human half zombie? Was this what the military was actually looking for when they send the helicopter? Survivors but from the infection after using the vaccine? Is she immune but still a "carrier"? And will Kurumi go berserk and kill her friends? Will "shovel-chan" actually used against herself? Will we get a very sad love scene with Kurumi asking Miki to kill her? So many questions and probabilities on this one...
